- Athletes from all age groups are expected to
- Attend all practices as you are able.
- Prearrange absences if possible by informing your event coach.
- Be on time for all practices.
- This means you are ready to warm-up at the beginning of practice (4:00pm), at the designated start area, having already used the bathroom, and wearing weather appropriate clothing.
- You are responsible for signing the attendance sheet at the start of practice.
- Consecutive tardiness can result in removal from upcoming competition.
- Give 100% effort during practices and competitions.
- You are expected to try and do your best, every practice and meet.
- Maintain good sportsmanship.
- Possess a positive attitude towards your teammates, coaches, opponents, and yourself!
- Athletes will receive a warning for unacceptable behavior. Continued misbehavior will result in parents being contacted, where further consequences will be discussed, and if necessary, removal from competition.
- Be your teammates biggest fans. Cheer for each other loudly and celebrate each other’s accomplishments.
- Do not boo or make negative comments towards your teammates or opponents. It is ok and encouraged to celebrate your victories, but it is not okay to celebrate your opponent’s perceived failure.
- Keep team uniforms in good condition.
- PCS provides uniforms for its athletes. Please respect them by washing them after use, and returning them at the end of the season.
- Lost uniforms will result in a replacement fine.
- Remain in your designated areas for practices and meets.
- At practice, you will have workouts and training groups assigned. Remain with your group and coach for the duration of practice and communicate to your coach when moving to another area.
- At meets, we will have a designated home base, which will be under and next to our purple tent.
- Athletes are to drop their bags and gear in this location.
- Athletes are to remain in the home base AT ALL TIMES, unless
- You are actively competing
- You are warming up to compete
- You are using the bathroom with another athlete
- While at the home base, athletes should listen to the announcer to call for their race. Coaches will be around to help, but it is ultimately the athletes job to keep track.
- Compete in the events you have been assigned.
- Follow all Team Rules.
